Altamonte Springs, FL - Eden Spine announced today that earlier this year, it has entered into a distribution agreement with K2M, in 3 European markets for a new generation medical device for the spine, the WELLEX^TM Interspinous Technology.

The WELLEX^TM, developed by Eden Spine, is a Compressible Dynamic Interspinous Technology, which can be personalized to patient's characteristics to remove pain from Spinal Stenosis.  Its uniqueness comes from its ability to better respect the kinematic of the motion segment for better long-term results.

The WELLEX^TM fills the gap between conservative care and fusion surgery to treat early-stage degenerative disc disease. It specifically addresses the need of a growing patient population who is suffering from Spinal Stenosis, not responding positively to conservative treatment, and is still not willing or ready for a spinal fusion.

A WELLEX^TM surgery is a 30 minutes low risk procedure that requires an incision of less than one inch. Patients are typically capable of going home on the day of the surgery and are back to normal activities within 4 weeks.
