Fusion has been the standard of care for the past 3 decades. However, successful fusions do not guarantee a successful clinical outcome with pain relief. In addition, an estimated 35% of fusion cases produce adjacent disc disease symptoms within a 5 year period following the surgery.

The PERFX-2™ is an innovative concept in which the technology automatically adapts itself to the motion characteristics of the spinal segment (decoupled motion) to positively impact the neutral zone, reduce disc and facet loading & maintain sagittal balance.

The disc and the anatomy of the FSU can be preserved, facilitated by the low profile of the rod. The rods are made of titanium.
Loading is well within elastic zone of materials.
Micro-motion with shock absorber prevents stress shielding thus reducing the risk of component failure (load distributed more evenly).
